Yorktown Virginia

Microsoft Access Yorktown Virginia

Yorktown is a census-designated place (CDP) in York County, Virginia, United States. It is the county seat of York County, one of the eight original shires formed in colonial Virginia in 1682. Yorktown's population was 195 as of the 2010 census, while York County's population was 66,134 in the 2011 census estimate. The town is most famous as the site of the siege and subsequent surrender of General Charles Cornwallis to General George Washington and the French Fleet during the American Revolutionary War on October 19, 1781. Although the war would last for another year, this British defeat at Yorktown effectively ended the war. Yorktown also figured prominently in the American Civil War (18611865), serving as a major port to supply both northern and southern towns, depending upon who held Yorktown at the time. Today, Yorktown is one of three sites of the Historic Triangle, which also includes Jamestown and Williamsburg as important colonial-era settlements. It is the eastern terminus of the Colonial Parkway connecting these locations. Yorktown is also the eastern terminus of the TransAmerica Trail, a bicycle touring route created by the Adventure Cycling Association. One of Yorktown's historic sister cities is Zweibrcken in Germany, based on participation of a unit from there during the American Revolutionary War. We have built an overall project management database for a conveyor belt manufacturer in Yorktown, Virginia. This database tracks the production of complex conveyor belts with complex calendaring reports. This Access database also tracks shipments, financial transactions and client information.

Subcontract / Partner with us for your Client's database

How Partnership Works
  • International Marine and Industrial Applicators
International Marine and Industrial Applicators has an internal PHP / MySQL web application that needed upgrading to the most recent version of PHP and MySQL. We were the PHP consultant and MySQL Consultant chosen for this project

As PHP Consultants, we performed a vulnerability test against the website and the database, determining where and how attacks might occurred. We upgraded both the PHP and MySQL to current versions and transitioned the hosting of this site to our servers.

PHP Consulting along with MySQL development skills helped IMIA become more secure.

  • Nufarm Americas Inc.
NuFarm is a pesticide chemical manufacturer that initially engaged us to build an Access Database to track Environmentl Protection Agency (EPA) forms. They have over 2,000 EPA forms on file with the US Government. We were the PHP developer and the MySQL developer for this project. Upon further conversation and discovering the intent of this chemical/pesticide client, we decided that an Access Database WAS NOT the proper solution. They desired people AROUND THE WORLD to enter and query their application. So we built this database using PHP web pages and a SQL Server data file. You may find more information about this application at www.data-blade.com

  • Bravo Wine Imports
Bravo Imports Wine mostly from Italy and sells, through agents, to restaurants and markets including Kroger. This database application provides both a web page for entering orders as well as Quickbooks integration for creating invoices from those orders and updating current inventory and product lists. This is accomplished through an ODBC connection directly to Quickbooks. Agents and Items are managed through the Access database which communicates with the Website via MySQL connection (attached tables in the Access database). When Agents place orders, those order are viewed in the Access database, massaged and approved. Again through the use of attached MySQL tables. Bravo Wine is in Harrisonburg, Virginia. We provided the Microsoft Access help for this project
